This chocolate brownie recipe has served us very well and has had many
birthday outings, I hope it becomes a favourite for you too.
Serves 12
4 eggs
225g caster sugar
350g dark chocolate
225g butter
225g plain flour
50g white chocolate buttons, optional
Line a 26cm square tin with nonstick paper Set oven 180c gas 4
Whisk the eggs and sugar until very thick and creamy. Melt the chocolate
and butter on a low setting in the microwave. Fold into the mixture, then very
gently fold in the flour and white chocolate buttons. Pour the mixture into the
tin and bake for 25 minutes – they should be slightly soft in the middle.
Cool in the tin, cut into squares and add the candles for the next birthday
celebration.
