GINGER NUT BISCUITS

Made and baked in under 30 minutes. Always good to have in the cookie jar.

makes 10

100g self-raising flour

1 level teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda

2 teaspoons ground ginger

50g soft brown sugar

60g butter, melted

2 tablespoons golden syrup

Set oven 180c gas 4     Line a large baking sheet with nonstick paper

Sieve the flour, soda and ginger into a bowl, stir in the sugar, then add in the melted butter and golden syrup, mix well until the mixture comes together to form a soft dough. Roll the dough into 10 balls, approx. 25g each, place on the lined baking sheet and flatten slightly. Bake for 8/10 minutes until golden brown. Cool on the tray.
